If it does initiate it, it shows up in downloads but doesn't progress at all. If I restart Steam the download is gone and nothing happens. I have created 'mod' directory into my /documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/ and I'm sure that I have read and write permissions there as well.

The recent Skyrim updates have messed up the Workshop Mods. First go into workshop, and Favorite all your mods. After an hour of searching I finally came across several different threads that all mentioned the mods download through Steam's Download queue. Since I work from home from time to time, I had scheduled Steam to download while I sleep. After subscribing to Workshop items in Steam, the items appear in-game under Steam Workshop, but not under Mods. Therefore, I have no access to the on/off switch for the items and I am fairly certain that they have not been downloaded. Mods can have comments, reviews, and ratings like other content on Steam. I've made a mod for a game. How can I get it on Steam? If your content is intended for a game's Workshop, follow the directions from the game's developers to learn how to upload that content, as each game may have a slightly method for doing so. The steam is driving me mad, mods sometimes appear and sometimes not, workshop either works or doesn't.
